Too Early to start training?

img_2274.jpg

Meet Eli. His grandmother's dog had puppies about 5 weeks ago. According to Grandma, when Eli comes over he insists on finding the clicker as soon as he walks in the house and then he goes to the whelping box and calls "Come here, baby puppies." CLICK..... Of course, the beauty of clicker training is that it is never too early to start training, whether you're the trainer or the trainee. Call or email us for more information on the joy of clicker training. For more information on training rates and options, please see our obedience training page.

"All of the progress that our dog has made has been possible due to the work we all did together early on. That work laid a foundation that made future learning possible."

The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) declared January  “National Train Your Dog Month” in order to bring awareness to the importance of socialization and training, and most of all, to inform the public that training your dog can be both simple and fun! APDT also sponsored a writing contest for trainers. The purpose was to promote the every day dog owners who have discovered that training should be a crucial part of their life with their dog, as well as being much more fun and easy than many people may think. I won the entry for Adopted/Rehomed dogs with my essay "What About Bob?" Click on the photo to the right to check it out, along with the other winners!

The Good Dog Foundation is a 501(c)3 public charity dedicated to keeping good dogs in good families by providing medical related financial assistance to low-income families in Licking county Ohio and surrounding areas.

The Good Dog Foundation is not a spay and neuter or vaccination program, but rather aids with non-elective procedures or surgeries that, if left untreated, may otherwise result in euthanasia or re-homing of the dog. For more information or to donate to The Good Dog Fondation, please visit our website at: www.gooddogfoundation.com, and help us to keep good dogs with the good families who love them. Your contribution is tax deductible.
